During this time of COVID-19, with no access to school or local libraries, it might be hard (and/or expensive) to find books to read. Here is just a short list of “Little Free Libraries” in our area. (For a printable copy, click here.) This list is generally sorted North to South starting in the Vienna/Oakton area. It does not list all of them! To find more, just use this link and search the map by zip code.

This library is a labor of love for my mother, Margaret Kramer. She was a well-read woman who loved children, animals, and books, and she worked in the Big Flats Library in Big Flats, NY. She passed away on 12/21/2011, but her spirit is constantly felt by the people who loved her. My husband Drew and I designed, built, and decorated this library in her memory. The inside includes our favorite quote from her, “I saved this just for you.”
