Jane Austen was born December 16, 1775 in England. Austen wrote six novels: Pride and Prejudice, Emma, Sense and Sensibility, Persuasion, Mansfield Park, and Northanger Abbey. Austen inspired many women with her writings. She wrote during a time when not a lot of books were written by women and about women. Her six novels were about marriage, love, and money.
Austen also had an unfinished book titled Sanditon. Because she died before she could finish Sanditon, people wonder how Austen would have ended the novel. Austen's books are still enjoyable and have been made into movies many times. Even though she passed on, she is still quite famous for all her amazing novels. Austen died July 18, 1875 at the age of 41.
